Johanne has successfully guided my 9 year old through 2 levels of Conservatory exams. Her patience and encouragement keep him on track, and her ability to offer a range of fun and recognizable pieces help to sustain his interest. Johanne doesn't expect too much - she has a natural understanding of the ebb and flow of childhood interest in play and practice that eludes many other music teachers - but she ensures that he makes progress each week, continuing a steady flow of improvement.
